If you are thrilled to fly, there is nothing like taking control of a plane and the feeling of freedom that you get when doing it. Now is a great time to become a pilot: many major airlines are hiring and the air operations are in constant growth. We can take you from zero to Airline Pilot! If you would like to fly as a hobby,  the Private Pilot License is for you, so check it out! But if you would like to make flying your career, there are a few things to take into account.

There are as many circumstances as there are people in the world, that is why we try to offer the most suitable option for each person. In the end of each, you will become a professional pilot elegible for an airline job. So it doesn't matter which way you end up, the result will be the same. Aerofan is the most competitive school in both paths, which are:

Integrated Pilot Program & Modular Pilot Program

Choosing either path should be a completely personal choice that must attend to your own needs. In the past, airlines showed some bias towards pilots that went through the integrated programs, but that is not the case anymore, since in both ways you end up with the same license and ratings. We will try and guide you over your own personal best option, but the decision is yours to make.

Pros and Cons

Integrated Program Modular Program
Completed in 18 months You get your license gradually
Intensive program Pay as you fly the courses
Custom progress tracking Choose your own way
Priority for the flights Fly according your availability
All inclusive* Even more affordable*
About 51500€ About 41500€

* We don't like the small print, but in both options there are some costs that must be assumed by the student. This costs are the fees to be paid to the Authorities, personal study and flight tools (headsets, flight computer and printed books), medical examinations, fees out of our bases (Madrid Cuatro Vientos and Robledillo de Mohernando Airfield) and other costs like additional training if needed. The total amount for these costs are about 1500€, excluding the additional training. The use of uniform is not mandatory in the modular program, even though  it is recommended. The integrated students must wear their Aerofan provided uniform for their flight training.

About the time that it takes to complete each path, depending on each student: for the integrated program it is about 18 months, assuming a hard working student, which is the least amount of time that can be expected; for the modular program, the shortest case we have had, it took 21 months to complete everything, but since the best thing about this path is it's flexibility, it can take as long as you need. In average, the modular pilot completes her/his training in between 24 and 36 months.

As you can see, it all depends on how fast you want to become a pilot and your personal economy. So these factors are to be taken into account when choosing your own path.

One of the treats of the modular path is that you can pass each course/module and take the time you need in order to relax or save up for the next step in your way of becoming an airline pilot.

If you would like to know more about both ways of becoming a pilot, you can check the integrated program over here. If you are more interested in the modular way, all you need to do is follow each step from Private Pilot to MCC.
